Although not all types of HTV can be used as the base layer, most standard varieties can. I will show you how to layer the HTVRONT htv vinyl when making T-shirts.

For the shirt, we will use glitter heat transfer vinyl. Heat transfer vinyl is a special type of vinyl with a heat-sensitive adhesive that will stick to fabrics and other surfaces when pressed down with a heat source such as an iron or EasyPress. Can you layer glitter htv? Generally, glitter vinyl is more difficult to layer than normal vinyl because it is relatively thicker. But HTVRONT vinyl can perfectly solve this problem. Our glitter vinyl can also be layered multiple times. Next, let us see the detailed steps.

How to Layer HTV Vinyl?

First go to Cricut Design Space. Grab your design here and cut it out with your machine. Before cutting, all ironing designs must be mirrored! If you are a beginner, I suggest you stick to four or fewer colors and do not have too many designs. When designing the content to be layered, it is important to keep the cut files organized. I prefer to organize cut files by color. If you want to cut different types of vinyl, you can even go one step further and finally cut by color. In this project, I used sugar skull SVG, which contains multiple different layers. I have uploaded it to Cricut Design Space, where I can customize the size of my T-shirt.

Weed your vinyl and put the design on your shirt. Once all parts have been cut off and weeded, it's time to start the application! Get ready for the fun part!

Fold the T-shirt in half (center down) and iron it. This will tell you exactly where the shirt is in order to place the design correctly. Don't be aggressive when folding, just fold the top and bottom edges down gently, and try not to add creases in the design!

Make sure the iron is hot, then put the bottom layer of heat transfer vinyl on the shirt. Press this layer only for 3-5 seconds. You want the design to be attached to the shirt, but you don’t want to over-press it because you want to press down a new layer.

Place the second layer and pillowcase or Teflon sheet on top of the first layer, and then hold it down for 3-5 seconds. If you can pull up the backing paper without peeling off the vinyl, then you are fine.

Then repeat the process for all layers in the design. At this point, the vinyl has adhered to the shirt, but if you clean it, it will surface. Therefore, after finishing all the layers, you can press the entire design for 10 seconds without any substrate to complete the entire design.

The project is complete! Super cute. So now are you ready for layering iron on vinyl? Can you layer iron on vinyl? Can you layer htv?

Please wait at least 24 hours before washing the shirt you just pressed. In order to make it durable, please wash it with warm or cold water and a mild detergent.

You can layer HTV without Cricut, or you can use iron. The process is the same, but the settings are slightly different.

When you make a multilayer iron vinyl shirt for the first time, many mistakes may occur. In addition to remembering to make a mirror or FLIP design, choose a suitable ironing vinyl material, then put the vinyl material on the cutting mat with the right side up, weed the right part of the design, and first preheat the shirt , And set the correct temperature. You must also be careful to press long enough to make the vinyl stick, but not too long, and arrange each layer of vinyl so that layering iron on vinyl looks correct.
