1. Combine the dry bath bomb ingredients

Combine the dry bath bomb ingredients (baking soda, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and citric acid) in a medium bowl. Whisk together with a whisk or fork and remove any lumps. If desired, you can add garnishes like dried flowers or herbs to the mix for an added visual appeal

2. Combine the ingredients for the wet bath bomb

 In a small glass jar or bowl, combine the ingredients for the wet bath bomb (oil and water).

 

3. Color the bath bomb, add the soap dye to the wet ingredients 

To color the bath bomb, add the soap dye to the wet ingredients and stir.

Note: Each soap dye used in bath bombs may have a different consistency, and some products require more dye than others. So to avoid "overdosing", be sure to add a little at a time and see what color you want to achieve.

Wrap each half of the mold on both sides tightly with the mixture until it overflows slightly. Press the mold blocks together and gently remove one side of the mold. Place the tub bomb on the tray and let it dry before removing the other side (about an hour). The key here is to be gentle during the demolding process!

★ Shape with silicone ice cube trays

Pack the bomb mix tightly into the silicone ice cube tray slots, making the top smooth and flat. Let stand for about 10 minutes, then carefully flip the tray over and unmold the bath bomb onto the baking sheet, tapping lightly on top of each shape. As mentioned above, the key is to be gentle during the demolding process!

Let your homemade bath bomb dry. Once your bath bombs are unshaped and placed on a baking sheet, they should dry for at least 8 hours or overnight.
