What can you use HTV for?

Because of the way HTV is applied, you can use it on fabrics and materials that can withstand the heat and pressure needed to transfer for proper adhesion. For fabrics and clothing, these temperatures are typically between 120 and 150 degrees Celsius. The product (also called the substrate) must be able to withstand the pressure and heat of an iron or heat press.

You can easily print HTV on items like polo shirts, t-shirts, hats, jeans, bags, jackets, bags, jumpsuits, ties, sheets, scarves, aprons, and canvas.

Every HTV manufacturer lists the products available for each type of vinyl. Fabrics such as cotton, cotton/polyester blends, polyester and canvas work well with HTV. Some types of HTV can also be used with nylon and leather. However, products such as paper and plastic do not work well because they cannot absorb the heat required to bond vinyl to a substrate. It is very important to ensure that the correct type of HTV and the correct material are used.
