4 Things You Should Know Before Heat Pressing a Glass

1. Never use cold water to cool a glass immediately after heat pressing.

Switching between hot and cold can easily crack a glass. Whether your glass is clear or frosted, thin or thick, avoid this!

Let it air dry naturally in a cool place.

2. Can I drink from the glass after heat-sublimation?

After heat-sublimating your creative design onto a glass, whether you can drink from it depends on the material of the glass. Please ensure that the material and the heat-sublimation coating meet food safety standards.

HTVRONT offers food-safe cups. If you are unsure whether your glass is suitable for drinking after heat-sublimation, you can purchase one from HTVRONT. After heat-pressing an HTVRONT glass and letting it cool naturally, please rinse it thoroughly with clean water before drinking from it.

Also, while the heat-sublimation coating is heat-resistant and abrasion-resistant, it does not mean it is impervious to physical damage. So if you have a habit of chewing and licking the rims of cups, a DIY dye-sublimation cup might not be suitable for your daily drinking needs.

3. Can I make money with the A200 Auto Tumbler Heat Press?

Yes. According to our market research, you can generally earn back the cost of the heat press by selling around 20 cups.

During festivals, themed events, or comic conventions, all you need to do is create beautiful images that your customers will like, produce the corresponding cups, and then wait for the money to come in.

In fact, the A200 can perform dye-sublimation designs on glass, ceramic, handle tumblers, and more. This means you can sell a wide variety of cups.

4. If I'm a beginner, should I buy the A200 Auto Tumbler Heat Press?

Why not? While we designed the A200 to be a reliable, stable DIY product suitable for small creative teams and individual business owners, it's also suitable for beginners.

When you first start making DIY mugs, you might think there's no need to buy such a "commercial" machine. You might even think, "Oh, I'm just playing around, doing it for fun, not to make money." But once you realize how easily this can improve your financial situation and give you a lot of extra pocket money, I believe your DIY mug making skills and experience will grow significantly.

Especially if you're a college student... think about how many creative fairs, themed events, and community activities your school has where your mugs could be sold. You could even announce your DIY mug business on your personal social media platforms and reach out to classmates who need custom mugs for couples or birthday gifts (whether they're seniors or juniors, they're all potential customers! Even those from other schools).
