Print-Then-Cut Issue: Device Cannot Read Registration Mark

If the device cannot read the Registration Mark during Print-Then-Cut, it will stop working. Possible reasons include:

Material Issues

  1. Improper Material Position: Ensure the material is aligned to the top-left corner of the cutting mat. Use a squeegee or roller to create a flat surface.
    Material Position Example
  2. Unclear Registration Mark: Ensure the mark is clear. If necessary, darken it with a black pen.
  3. Print Settings:
    • Ensure print settings are configured to Actual Size (100% scale), Borderless Printing, or Fit to Page Margins.
    • Incorrect Registration Mark Position: Ensure the paper is properly placed in the printer tray to avoid skewed registration marks.
    Print Settings Example
  4. NOT for Glossy Paper: Glossy surfaces may hinder the mark reading process. Please use matte paper instead.

Cutting Mat Issues

  1. Ensure the mat is firmly attached to the machine roller before loading. Assist by holding the mat's ends during loading.
  2. Bent Mats or Creases: Bent or creased mats may cause poor cutting results or unreadable marks. Please check and adjust.

Firmware Version

Ensure your firmware is up-to-date. Update to V0010 or higher if necessary.
